My Visual Diary - Purity

This picture started off being quite an environmental and very green photo. It was quite rough and showed off the great outdoors. This was good but not what I wanted as I hoped to show off the purity and beautiful shape of the flower, I wanted it to be what stood out. My hopes for this photo was to bring across the point that in todays world, it's very hard to find something so pure. Everything pure in this world is surrounded by so much loud noise which is represented in this photo by the black out of focus leaves. As I am a fan of black and white filtering and I wanted the white flower to stand out from the rest I used the black and white filter. I then made the flower as central as I could by croppping the edges on photoshop and blurred out the background leaves so that the main focus was on the flower.
