My Visual Diary - Waste

This week we had to think about the world around us; that could include the environment, the human race or just genereal subjects. Today, my dad asked me if I could shred a huge pile of paperwork which he no longer needs but has collected over the years. I took this photo of a section of the shreddings to point out the paper waste issue we have on the planet. As shredding paper can be quite time consuming and takes a lot of it, my thoughts wondered off into a state of actually thinking about why he had such a large pile of waste paper and how bad it is. It's a very bad thing to have a lot of paper waste as the environment suffers from it in multiple ways. One of the problems is that the trees which produce oxygen for human life are cut down and wasted, another being that the paper which is wasted often ends up being spread around the country polluting our land.
