This morning we spent a few hours learning about the best techniques when it comes to pitching. We started with a small talk about it and then went on to complete a task. The task was to choose an object in groups of 3 which we could pitch to a small group of our class. In my group we chose the simple thing of an umbrella. We were allowed to create visual aids as well as a script to present. I personally don't think our pitch was very well organized, this was because we found it quite difficult to pitch an object to a group of people which everyone already knew about. The main point of this exercise was to figure out what sort of things are most important when pitching something to certain groups of people. Some of the thing I learnt today were:

1. You need to think about the way you physically present yourself, this includes the way you dress and your body language. If you stand there looking bored and slumped over, you don't look very interested in the pitch therefore nobody else will find it interesting.

2. You to think about whilst pitching is the way you present you voice, you need to be well spoken, loud and clear.

3. You need to keep in mind whilst pitching is what you're actually pitching, you have to be informative; giving all of the inforamtion the person or people may need. You can't afford to leave out main details as it could effect the end result in whether a client is happy with your product/service.
