Today I had my first assessment at PCA, at first I was a bit nervous of showing my work to tutors and going through it with them but I actually found it extremely helpful. In the end, I really liked having my work analysed and assessed.
During the assessment, Cass went through specific things which I could go over and make better. She told me how I could improve it and what I could include to do so. This included things like adding pictured and explained examples of inspiration I had for my photos and evaluating my work further against other pieces of artwork. Going deeper into my photos as well as other photographers, picking out parts I think work well and ones which don't.
By having my work assessed its pointed out to me the things that work well and things that don't work well. This now means that I can spend more time on the good things and not worry about things that don't.
