The Collective - Class Social Media

As a class, we decided it would be a good step towards getting ourselves recognized as individuals, as a college and as a course by creating pages on social media platforms. After doing research, we came to the conclusions that as a lass we would create a Facebook page, a Flickr page, a Tumblr blog and an Instagram account. As a class we were split into 4 groups so that we could deal with one of the platforms more hands on.

I am part of the Flickr group which was something I had never used before. In the group, we had to think of possible jobs we would need to make sure no one was left out or bored. We decided it would be a good thing to have a few administrators, someone to make sure everyone in the class is putting their photos into the google drive folder, someone to go through making sure everything is linked and people to post the classes work. As a group we managed to get the page set up as well as posting things into folders online. We thought the best way of getting people known as individuals would be to create individual albums which is a very helpful, handy feature on Flickr. We have made albums for each student in the class so that it’s to post peoples work. I think that by having a flickr account, we will reach out across to more people as its the sort of site where a lot of artists set up their work and journals.

As a result of creating the class Flickr page, I have now decided to create my own Flickr for my personal work and showcasing.
