The Square - Proposal and Concept

My concept for this project is capturing a series of still life photographs capturing the way such simple, small cosmetic products can create such big, statements both in photographs as in peoples daily lives. Cosmetic prooducts such as lipstick, coloured powders and mascara can all change the way people look, feel and are looked at by others in huge ways so I just wanted to document how small these things are against the way we look at them. The main idea behind this series is to try and portray just how cosmetic products make a lot of people feel when they use it - bold, confident and colourful.
