Today I really wanted to get to grips with using the lighting I already have at home. I wanted to see if I could get it to work for all of the ideas I have had. As I haven't yet got a full idea of everything which is going to be in the pictures, I just wanted to take quick pictures of anything. For this trial of the lighting, I used my cat Millie. For this, I used a plain black backdrop and a led light. The camera I used was a Canon 600d which I enjoyed working with.

The picture above is my favourite shot and the one I think is the best out of them all. I was quite happy with the way the lighting was working with the subject I had chosen for this trial as it created an even brighter contrast when it came to the background and subject. One of the things I'm going to be focusing on for my final photographs is the way the subject is in a great deal of focus, making it look simple which I managed to portray with this piece.
