Surveys and data

This afternoon we were set a task where we had to create a survey - based on one or two of our photographs from the past few weeks - consisting of 4 closed questions and then get a few people to answer them. We then had to turn our results from the survey into pie or bar charts. As I have already praticed using pie charts on excel I thought I would venture away from it into bar charts as I knew it would be more of a challenge. The questions had to be closed as if you had a variety of written answers, you wouldn't be able to put the results into charts. I chose 2 pictures from a trial shoot I did the other day with my cat Millie. For the shoot I was trialling out backdrops and lighting so I thought it would generate good questions for a survey. The questions I wrote are all multiple choice with answers ranging from only a couple per question and going up to 5.
The questions were:-
1. Which of the photographs portray the most emotional mood?
Image 1
Image 2
2. Do you think the black backdrop is the right colour to make the subject stand out?
Yes
No
3. Do you think image 2 would look better and more emotional in black and white?
Yes
No
4. On a scale of 1-5, rate image 2 as a whole
1
2
3
4
5
The survey I created gave me specific answers so that I could easily process them into excel bar charts. To do this I simply typed up my results, highlighted them and then clicked on the bar chart diagram in the insert tab. All I had to do to finish was add a title which I thought was best being the question. Below are the bar charts and results in table format.
