The Square - Final Print

As I now have my final 4 images, I have decided to try out a collage style print. This will hopefully tie them all together as one project instead of having 4 separate images. I have put them in the best order I think they work in for the bright and bold photographs to stand out against others. I have put quite a large white border around the images as when I frame it for the exhibition, it's going to have a white border already around it. I think that by having a collage rather than 4 seperate prints, it draws them all in as a set of work. I like how there is 2 soft images against 2 harder/darker images.

Below is a picture of my test strip which I wanted to print in order to make sure the colours were correct and/or as I wanted them. I was actually pleasantly suprised with how my photographs looked on pearl paper as I had always thought gloosy would be best but in a matter of fact,I really like the pearl. It's not overly shiny but has a slight glimmer. It doesn't make the colours change too much so I was overall really happy with my test strip.

As I am now aware of what paper I'm going to be using, I've composed my final collage design for my exhibition piece. As a result of this I have worked out the size I want it printed at and I have bought a 20x16 inch frame to put the image inside as I feel that by having the white border surrounded by a dark brown/almost black frame will smarten it up and make it more proffessional. A lot of artwork in the cosmetic and still life industry are back bordered in black. I've not gone too large on the print as I've kept the entire collage inside the border so that its around 16x12. This is because I feel like by having the large border, the slightly smaller photographs will stand out. My final collage is below.
