Shoot Plan
Todays shoot is going to be about Plymouth and what it's all about. Now that I've watched the Martin Parr documentary about England, it has given me some inspiration of things I shoot. I personally feel like Plymouth is a very diverse city - not just in people but language, food, architecture and even public areas - so I'm going to try and grasp this within my photos. For this I'm going to try and find someone who represents diversity within people and ask to take their picture. This could be someone with un-natural coloured hair, wacky hairstyle, someone who represents a certain religion or something along the lines of this.Plymouth is also seen as the ocean city so this is something I might consider taking pictures of. When people think about Plymouth, the weather is something that often people think about as it's quite often murky and cold. The best way to represent this in a unique way would be the drops of rain or the shiny ground as a picture of the sky as it's raining is extremely boring in comparison. One of the main things I think of when I think about Plymouth is the busses. Over the last few years I have visited North Wales a fare bit and when I come back one od the first things I notice are the busses. This is because they're generally very frequent and you can always see a bright red bus. This is much different to other parts or the country and further. As well as noticing the busses in Plymouth, another thing is the busy streets, you will always find litter around and about the city which is very different to other places - it stands out quite a lot. Theres always something on the ground or on a wall and it's in a way, a typical Plymouth scene.
Shoot
Whilst I was shooting around Plymouth I tried to refer back to my plan as I wanted to cover as much as I could. Unfortunately the joyous Plymouth weather disagreed with my hopes and therefore I struggled to get what I had hoped for. The only thing I managed to cover was a sense of the weather. Below is my favourite image from the shoot after being edited in photoshop. I think the photograph does show the general idea of Plymouth weather. The umbrellas make it look quite typical and draws attention to the fact that it's raining.

I would've liked to take more photographs of Plymouth and descibing it in pictures but it doesn't always work out to plan.
