Nina Masic is a 25 year old graphic design major from Bosnia who has done a lot of work with portraiture and beauty. Even though she graduated as a graphic designer, working in the industry has opened her eyes to the subject of photography. Instead of doing what she initially planned, she now does a lot of beauty, portraiture and fashion shoots for magazines, books and advertising.

When looking through her photographs, I particularly looked out for inspiration for my portraiture shoots. I was very lucky to find photographs which had elements and similar styles to what I wanted and what I had been hoping for.
The 3 photographs below are my favourites in resepct of portraits. I love how they're not overly plastered in make up and are still remaining relatively natural. I like the idea of looking how you want to in both photos and just in general. These images all look as though they've been told to do what they want and what they think will make best photos. I love how the first 2 have almost plain backgrounds as it makes the woman the most important subject. There is no distraction. The last image is very eyecatching due to the colours and the faded background.

The image below is the type of compostition I want to achieve in my project. I like how the models face isn't overly posed and is quite natural, I want to get this style look in my images.
