Project Progression + Ideas

So far I have completed 2 shoots, one which went very well and the other one which wasn't very good at all. The first one was an experimental shoot to focus on a persons facial expression and their body language and seeing how it can tell you about their character and personality. This one was very successful and inspiring for more shoots for this project. The second shoot was a lot less successful as I was trying to go at the subject from another angle. I was trying to get a personality and characteristic across in a conceptual way instead of using the physical person. This didn't go that well as I couldn't get the set-up to work in the studio setting I was working in. From this shoot I then decided to stick with the conceptual way of seeing character but instead of using model (in any way) I decided to use objects and surroundings instead of studio work with models. This shoot was okay but it still didn't completely jump out at me as a final thing to further my work in.
From doing these shoots I have decided that I want to evolve my idea into something a little different to what I had originally planned. Where I was originally trying to use classic portraiture or portraiture using objects, I have decided to use hands as the main focus. When people say the word 'portrait' most people would think of faces and so on but I want to do something more moving by using hands to tell the story just like a classic portrait would.
Experimental Ideas (hands, identity and character)

Career choices through wrist/hand/clothing/props/background
Lifestyle
Traits - calm/angry/sentimental/loving
Short write up below each image about the character (short timeline of their life?)
